A thermal expansion valve (TXV) for Honda and Acura A/C systems. It meters refrigerant into the evaporator, turning high-pressure liquid into a low-pressure mist for cooling. A failing valve often causes weak or warm air from the vents, frost on the A/C lines or pressures that are too high or too low.
