An accelerator pedal assembly with built-in position sensor for the Nissan Altima and Maxima. The sensor reports pedal position to the engine computer, which opens the electronic throttle. A failing pedal sensor often causes a check engine light, poor or no throttle response, or a reduced-power mode.
