A 12V 160A alternator with a 6-groove pulley for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Volkswagen models with the V6 3.3L or 3.8L engine and the 160A charging system. The alternator charges the battery and powers the electrical system while the engine runs. A failing alternator often causes a battery warning light, dim or flickering lights, a weak battery or a whining noise.
