A new 12V 180A alternator with a 6-groove pulley for Dodge Ram and Ram trucks with the 5.7L and 6.4L V8. The alternator powers the electrical system while the engine runs and keeps the battery charged. Common signs of a failing alternator are a battery warning light, dim or flickering lights, a dead battery or a whining noise.
