An automatic transmission input or output speed sensor with a 3-pin angled socket for many Nissan, Infiniti, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Jeep, Dodge and Chevrolet models. It reads shaft speed so the transmission computer can time the shifts. Harsh or erratic shifting, a stuck gear, a speedometer that drops out or a check engine light are common signs of a failing speed sensor.
