An engine coolant thermostat housing assembly with the thermostat installed for 4-cylinder Ford, Lincoln and Mazda models. The housing holds the thermostat, which controls coolant flow so the engine stays in its proper temperature range. A failing housing often causes coolant leaks, overheating, a temperature gauge that reads too low or too high, or poor heater output.
