A 3-pin crankshaft position sensor for GM V8 trucks, SUVs, vans and performance cars, plus the Isuzu, Hummer, Saab and Avanti models listed below. It reports crankshaft speed and position so the engine computer can time ignition and fuel. A check engine light, a no-start, stalling, misfires or rough running are common signs of a failing crankshaft sensor.
