A 3-pin engine crankshaft position sensor for many GM cars, trucks and SUVs from Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac, Hummer, Pontiac and Saab. It tells the engine computer the crankshaft position and speed for spark and fuel timing. A failing crankshaft sensor often causes stalling, a no-start, misfires or a check engine light.
