A throttle position sensor (TPS) for GM trucks, vans and SUVs from Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Buick and Hummer, plus Isuzu and Workhorse commercial trucks. It tells the engine computer how far the throttle is open. A failing TPS often causes hesitation, surging, rough or high idle, poor shifting or a check engine light.
