This transfer case shift motor switches the transfer case between 2WD and 4WD modes on Ford and Mazda trucks and SUVs. Signs of a failing motor include a 4x4 system that will not engage or disengage, a flashing 4WD light, and a clicking or grinding noise when you press the 4WD button.
